Senior Web Applications Developer, Part-Time Contract
- Found and fixed an issue with the back-end application that tied into Android and iOS apps that was
preventing the apps from working.
- MConfigured the databases and installed the application as well as set up all of the domain and SSL
configurations so that the application would run securely and be accepted by Google Play Store.
- Prepared the application to be upgraded and rewritten to use a new version of the framework than the one
that was provided so that the application would use the latest and most secure protocols and features.
Moved it to Laravel 5.5 LTS from Laravel 5.0.

Senior Web Analyst/Programmer
- Maintained and refactored the SPC ID Scanner application that identified students during events by scanning
the barcodes containing their student number on their student IDs.
- Overhauled and restructured the SPC Survey & Form Builder application to include the ability to hide or show
complete sections of questions based on rules set in admin panel without the need to retroactively update
previous surveys and forms in database.
- In SPC Survey & Form Builder, converted the previous rule building tool from Core JavaScript + jQuery hybrid
to AngularJS and overhauled the PHP to act as a REST API utilizing JSON from AJAX requests and responses.
Additionally the user now has the ability to quickly build rules and have the results stored in JSON object
that can be handled by the server asynchronously.
- Planned and created a Certification Auditing Application that allows for the following features:
- Deans and/or Academic Chairs manage and view the faculty within their department to ensure that they
obtain the requisite training and/or certifications for teaching, as well as set them to inactive if
they are no longer teaching.
- Parties conducting training enter new training “workshops” in the system to which
faculty can be
given credit for. These workshops are either offered by SPC or “transferred” into the
system to count as a replacement SPC workshop.
- Certifications include other pre-requisite certifications or workshops, which will managed by
authorized users.
- Faculty, workshops and certifications will also have a note history to record actions and user
explanations to why changes were made to them

- Solely managed the company's web applications: adding features and refactoring to PHP standards.
- Created an award winning WordPress plugin called "API FastFind," designed to redirect web traffic
to specific content based on the codes entered, gaining the GoAbroad Innovation Award in Innovative
Technology.
- Maintained EC2, RDS, Security Group instances for development and production deployment.
- Facilitated the instruction and education of personnel on the use, best practices and workflows of Git.
- Moved tracking from Pivotal to JIRA and instructed staff on Agile practices and procedures.
- Simplified the application workflow and prepared the system architecture for a complete application rewrite
by another contracted company, removing FileMaker Pro dependency and organizing models for use in any
application framework.
- Added features to legacy app that allowed for more efficient management of user accounts and forms

- Implemented the use of Composer in legacy app, replacing static third-party libraries included in
repository.
- Corrected issues resulting from FileMaker Pro layout changes in legacy application, working with a
